PRESS RELEASE: Rock Harbor Marketing Picks Up World Obstacle as their Latest Client

Local digital marketing company has been hired by International Obstacle Sports Federation

Morro Bay, CA  – (January 10, 2022)Rock Harbor Marketing (RHM), a digital marketing company based in Morro Bay, California, has added World Obstacle to its growing list of globally recognized clients. World Obstacle, also known as the Fédération Internationale de Sports d’Obstacles (FISO), is the sole international governing body for the sports of obstacle course racing, ninja competitions, and adventure racing. The association is composed of national member federations in more than 100 countries, promoting obstacle sports throughout the world. As a reflection of the sport’s growth worldwide, World Obstacle was granted Global Associations of International Sports Federations (GAISF) observer status in September 2021, moving one step closer to becoming an Olympic sport.

The most well-known sports that fall under the World Obstacle name include Ninja Warrior competitions, obstacle course racing like Spartan Race & Tough Mudder, and adventure races similar to Eco-Challenge and Primal Quest. Ninja TV Show competitions have approximately 1 billion viewers worldwide. Adventure racing has been widely practiced and televised since 1989, and it is estimated that over 300 million people have watched the Eco-Challenge since 1995. A part of the World Obstacle’s mission is to lead obstacle sports to Olympic recognition.
